Cathy Moore’s blog is fabulous! In grad school I did a fascinating literature review on the topic of learning styles. There was a lot to read. However, like Moore and others, I found no conclusive studies where “learning-style-accommodating instruction” made a significant impact on learner behavior.

“The contrast between the enormous popularity of the learning-styles approach within education and the lack of credible evidence for its utility is, in our opinion, striking and disturbing. If classification of students’ learning styles has practical utility, it remains to be demonstrated.”
