QR Codes–A Fickle Fad

The Brief History of QR Codes:

THE PAST — A year ago, I was convinced that EVERYONE would adopt QR codes.

THE PRESENT — I now perceive the novelty of QR codes has finally worn off and people view them as cumbersome, games that are no-longer-fun-anymore.

THE FUTURE — I agree with Andy Ramsden that they will be supplanted by visual searching (e.g. Google Goggles) and mobile text recognition (both typeface and handwritten) within about five years.
