This a fun video project I did with Jeff Drysdale for a BYU course, Video Production for Instructional Designers (IP&T 665). We were required to create a 3-5 minute video that incorporated specific instructional practices to educate a specific audience on a specific subject.
Jeff’s wife, Nicole, is super crafty and, together with Jeff, came up with this great idea to teach her blogger friends how to create amazing crayon art with their kids.
Jeff worked with Nicole to develop the script. Jeff and I produced, lit, shot, and audio recorded together. And I was responsible for the heavy lifting during the post-production process.
Although I don’t see myself working in video production for a living, I certainly enjoy doing it and now have the experience necessary to speak the language of any video production crew I may work with in the future.
